new equality

“The only principle that does not hinder progress is: Anything goes.”

Paul Feyerabend, Book “Against the method pressure”

Our vision is to democratize the public space of Berlin with the means of contemporary art and to make it barrier-free in every respect.

All people are different. Nevertheless, a distinction is still made between normal and abnormal or faultless and faulty bodies. Deviations or disabilities are labeled as an inferior state of being human. People who lack certain skills are interpreted as fundamentally inferior to the majority society. Because of such ideas, people with disabilities are still confronted with great social reservations – they are discriminated against and marginalized.

The aim of our work is to counteract such ideas. We initiate experimental projects to design alternative scenarios and future visions for people with and without disabilities. We create. Dialogue and discussion spaces for alternative ways of existence. We fantasize about the future and thereby strengthen the imagination. We take the liberty of discussing a better society and taking our dreams seriously. We speculate about a future between fact and fiction that questions the status quo and serves as a catalyst for the joint creation of a new reality.

Our project aims to provide food for thought and provoke – also on a political level. By showing possible answers to current challenges for social coexistence, we offer new perspectives and possibilities to deal with these challenges differently.

Our view of a possible future arises from various art disciplines. What is particularly appealing to us is the blurring of the boundaries between new technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality or mixed reality on the one hand and traditional techniques and materials such as glass on the other.

We believe in the role of traditional materials and their metaphysical quality in artistic creation. In this context, we consciously contrast tactility with media homogenization.
