Art Event „Speculative World of Work“
Dec. 11th, 2019, 6—8pm
Venue: WeWork at Sony Center,Potsdamer Platz, Berlin
Let’s try to imagine what the world of work would be like without having the current limitations of technology, culture and politics in mind. The speculative world of work can be probable, plausible or preferable.
We want to show experimental art projects with alternative visions of the future and potential for the present and also projects that deal with the artistic exploration of the status quo of the working world. Our goal is to drive discussions and provide implementable solutions.
Contemporary artists are invited to present their work and concepts concerning the working world. Contributions in video or photo format, performances, lectures, readings are welcome. The purpose is to present many different aspects and positions.
With this event we would like to open a speculative discussion on World of Work. Holding the event at WeWork means to bring the two very different worlds together the contemporary art and the world of new work.
I hope this will drive an interesting discussion about making futures and social fiction.

Happy Tourists.
by Soazic Guezennec
Soazic Guezennec is a French artist based in Berlin.
Her work mixes painting, video, installation to question the relationship between human beings and their environment.
She subverts the codes of the corporate world to create surrealistic parodies which encourage us to question our own responsibility.
In 2012, she created Happy Owners, a SurReal estate agency which designs fantastic architectural projects for the future.
Her last project, Happy tourists is the first travel agency inviting people to get lost. Its mission is to bring chaos and disorder into tourism to open new spaces to perform. It is an art project, as much as a platform to question the impact of mass tourism on cities.
